Fantastic in painting
The fantastic in painting is a kind of enchanting labyrinth in which masters create fictitious realities, separated from our everyday world according to the laws of nature, history, culture or technology. In this exciting genre of art, the desire to create the illusion of reality merges with the magic of other possibilities and conditions. It has long been considered that the sea is the source of life on earth, the poet says life is the sea. You don't have to live, you have to sail, it was written on the gate of ancient Carthage. Sea voyages are long and sometimes dangerous. For this reason, lighthouses have been built since time immemorial. At the same time, the lighthouse is a symbol of direction and guidance and a means to find a way to safe harbor. Accordingly, the lighthouse plays a central role in the picture, it is presented from a slightly lower angle and thus introduces the viewer into the picture with the help of a signal pole that simultaneously marks a significant point of the golden section, according to which this picture is composed. As a building, it is presented in the manner of Venetian buildings (hence the name a modo veneto), with the inscription CIRCUS MASSIMUS alluding to the Arena in Rome or the circus as entertainment. Because the institution of the circus today is at the very limit of comprehensibility. At the same time, that institution is an archaism and a neologism. The demise of traveling circuses as a form of entertainment for this generation of digital entertainment has led to their complete obsolescence because the circus has always been able to do things that couldn't be done anywhere else. Signal flags of small jewels fly on the mast as a sign of safe harbor and in honor of those who step onto the lighthouse. As every circus has a particularly exciting point for the equilibrist - tightrope walker. Here, that role is played by the horse, i.e. the unicorn. The unicorn symbolizes purity, innocence, grace and wild strength. It is a creature from legends that only a girl with a pure heart could capture. Their single, spiral horn is often considered a bridge between the earthly and spiritual realms, symbolizing enlightenment and higher wisdom. That would be the brief explanation of my painting.
